Government Doesn't Create Wealth
The election of Barrack Obama as President in combination with Democratic majorities in both the Senate
and the House of Representatives has given the progressives, liberals and others that believe that big governments are
the solution to problems a final opportunity to prove their point and make "big changes" in the lives of US citizens.
It appears to me that a significant majority of the US population has come to realize that the Democrats' approach to solving
problems has failed. The Obama administration represents the end of an era of government expansion in our lives.
As the financial realilty of this failed approach becomes clearer and clearer to more and more people we will
begin see government programs changed, eliminated, reduced and modified. It is likely that this process will start
after the November elections and continue through the 2012 elections and beyond. Massive changes are required in entitlement
programs, DoD, and most Government agencies and programs. These programs are a massive battleship that has to make a
major change indirection. It will take a number of years to make all the changes that are required ,
but I believe that the changes will be made. We are just a few years away from the end of this long cycle of government
expansion but the citizens will force the changes through their votes.
The situation is pretty simple to understand and
the people are starting to understand the breadth of the problem. They also understand that government's don't create
wealth. Government's consume wealth. There is a role for government in our lives but it must be limited.
If the US is going create wealth for its citizens in the future, the US government role in the economy must be significantly
reduced. What is uncertain is the level of damage the expansion the government has done to our nation over the years.
Hopefully, the the core capability of our nation to grow has not been too badly damaged.
Hopefully, the majority
our citizens will understand the situation and start the process of change in November. There is no time to lose.

BP CEO Congressional Investigation
Why is the House of Representatives asking BP's CEO extremely detailed questions about the Deepwater Horizon
accident before there is a formal report prepared for the appropriate government agency and the President's independent commission?
This was a useless process like many other Congressional useless processes. The US government needs to make its normal
processes work and Congress needs to stay out of it until there is a formal record established that can be analyzed by Congress.
Some many Congressmen are looking for TV time to support their reelection campaign as opposed to participating in
a logical process. One of the Congressmen stated that the hearing was justified by a need to potential change the laws.
That statement is a joke when there is no formal report of what happened on Deepwater Horizon at this time. There will
be a time for Congress to get involved but it is not today.
Congress gets very little right. We need to get
rid of most of these people during the November 2010 elections.
