Can Washington Work Constructively?
I just watched President Obama make some comments about his meeting with Republican Congressional leaders
on the topic of tax rates for 2011 and beyond. I also watched the Republican Congressional leaders make some comments
after the meeting. Amazingly, the comments were consistent. It appears that representatives of both sides
will be meeting very quickly to negotiate a resolution to the tax debates before the current lame duck Congressional session
ends.
I am hopeful that we will get a reasonable compromise before year end but I would not be surprised if
nothing gets done. The track record on both sides is poor, so we can't trust these people get anything
right.
The voters have declared they want reduced government impact on their lives with reduced spending and a
reasonable level of taxes. We shall see if our elected representatives got the message. So far the words have
been good, but I agree with a TV commentator who said "show me the money" with real action.

New TSA Procedures - No Issue
My wife, two sons and I traveled from three different US airports to Las Vegas for Thanksgiving.
There were no fundamental differences in the screening process for any of us. No one needed any enhanced screening.
We didn't see anyone receive any enhanced screening during the times we passed through security.
I believe
the media made a big deal out of the recent TSA procedural changes when the reality is that it was really a non-event.
If airline passengers are careful to eliminate all metal from their pockets and clothing when passing through security they
will not have a problem with their initial screening and never require enhanced screening.
We have all seen people
try to get through the TSA screening process laden with metal objects in their pockets and on their person. TSA
has no choice but to fully check out these folks. There is no need for any airline passenger to create a problem
for themselves. All that is required is for everyone to make some minor adjustments during their screening process
and everything will be easy and speedy.
My wife and I left from Las Vegas Sunday afternoon on one of
the busiest travel days of the year and had absolutely no problem getting through security quickly and easily.
I must give TSA credit for doing their job very well today.

JFK Revisited
Check out my new article, JFK Revisited, based on James W. Douglas' recently updated book, "JFK
and the UNSPEAKABLE, Why He Died and Why It Matters". If you are interested in the truth and the rule of law in
the United States, you should read this book. If you care that a President of the United States was killed by people
operating within the US government, you should read this book. The book is long and it can be difficult
to read in places, but the book is extremely detailed and contains hundreds of references to source documents.
In the meantime read JFK Revisited for my analysis and conclusions.

"You Know I'm Right"
Please check out my Man Cave Report video concerning CNBC Power Lunch Host Michelle
Caruso-Cabrera's new book, "You Know I'm Right" "More Prosperity, Less Government". The Man Cave
Report video link is on my home page or you can Visit-the-Man-Cave at http://www.relaxedfitezine.com/m.news/45/visit-the-man-cave.
Ms. Caruso-Cabrera's book serves as an excellant outline of the all the tasks that are needed to restructure the US
government before market forces or our international trading partners force our country to make massive changes
in an emergency situation. The US government is much too large for our economy, doesn't perform many of its functions
particularly well and is too intrusive in the lives of its citizens.
Check out "You Know I'm Right".
You will be very glad you did!

Obama's Post Election Speech
President Obama just finished his press conference concerning yesterday's election. I think
he did a pretty good job of admitting that the people have spoken and his agenda must be changed going forward. I think he
is clearly reaching out to Republicans in an attempt to gain some common ground moving forward.
We will see if Obama will make meaningful changes in his policies as he governs a population that does not agree with his
core liberal/progressive values. Hopefully, our new government will make progress sooner rather than later.

Mid-Term Election Results
It is about 9:15am the morning after the mid term elections. The mid-term election
results are summarized on the home page of MSN.
In the House of Representatives, the Republicans won
239 seats, the Democrats won 183 and 13 seats are undecided at the moment. The Republicans have won a clear majority
from the national electorate. The new House has a clear mandate to reduce government spending and make progress
in reducing the deficit.
The Democrats now hold 49 seats in the Senate and the Republicans hold 46.
There are two independents that lean Democratic and three seats are undecided at the moment. There are some Democratic Senators that
almost sound like Republicans.
I hope President Obama and his administration get the message from the electorate.
The US is a center to center-right country. We are not a socialist country, not a liberal country, not a progressive
country. If Obama wants to have any chance at a second term he must move to the center and work diligently to solve
our nation's financial issues in conjunction with the Republican House leadership and the Senate. We expect reductions
in spending across the board in all areas, including DoD, Social Security, Medicare and every other budget line item.
We don't expect to pay higher tax rates than we are paying in 2010. We want our Federal government to
live within its means, just like every American.
We expect action quickly. The country needs stability so
the private sector can get comfortable about the future and begin investing and creating the new jobs that are desperately
needed in many parts of the country.
We are hopeful that the future will be brighter than the past two years.
Time to move out and take on the big tasks and complete them.
